Okor castle was built in the 14th century by Chancellor Frantisek Rokycansky. It was reconstructed after the Thirty Years´ War at the end of the 17th century. In the 18th century it became a Jesuit college. After the order was abolished in 1773, the castle started to decay, the tower tumbled down at the turn of the 18th and19th centuries.
Another interesting place that you will see is the Lidice memorial. Lidice was a small village that was annihilated by the Nazis on 10th June 1942. All 173 Lidice men were shot on that fateful day. Most of women and children also did not survive and all the houses were destroyed.
On the way back to Prague you will pass Ruzyne Airport. During hot sunny days you will welcome the opportunity to swim in the open-air swimming pool or to have a beer in a restaurant in a little valley of Divoka Sarka.
