The Park Český Ráj is situated in the north-east part of the Czech Republic among the towns Mladá Boleslav, Jičín and Liberec. Turnov, the centre of the area, can be reached from Prague within 70 minute's coach drive.
Few places in Central Europe can claim to be truly unique. But Bohemian Paradise, with its rock labyrinths, wooded valleys, bizarre sandstone formations, maze of cool glens and remarkable collection of castles & chateaux certainly earns that right. This area has a lot to explore, apart from a full range of outdoor activities, there are centuries old tradition of glass and jewelery making, historical sights, interesting towns with entertainment and shopping centres.
We will take you to the most beautiful places of the Czech Paradise, to the dominant of the park, the medieval castle Trosky from the 14th century, to the chateau Sychrov from the 17th century with its gorgeous intrieriors and interesting exhibitions and above all you will hike through the big complex of the Rock Town, where you walk pass the Valdstejn castle and visit the view tower of the Hruba Skala castle, with fascinating views over the Bohemian Paradise.
The labyrinths of rugged and dramatic sandstone formations - so called "rock towns" may be explored on foot only. The scenic trails wind through rock passages, cool glens and finger shaped cliffs in Hruba Skala.
