Karlstejn Castle
Karlštejn is one of the most visited Czech castles. It was built by emperor Charles IV. between 1348 -1355.
Karlstejn served as a depository of royal and empire jewels and coronation jewels and also as an archives of state documents. This gothic castle with enchanting monumental architecture is located about 38 km southwest of Prague. After climbing a hill you will do an hour sight-seeing of Karlštejn castle interiors. The guide will introduce you to both the history of this castle and life of Charles IV., his time and culture.
